Data Entry: Shabnam Bano Hakim Shah & Shahnaz Bano Hakim Shah

Sisters Shabnam, 20 years and Shahnaz Bano Hakim Shah, 18 years residents of Ganpati Chawl, Dharavi, comes from of a family of 8 members. With their father being a daily wage earner and mother a housewife, it was very difficult for the children to do higher studies in a proper manner. According to Shabnam, “To help our further studies we decided to search a job, but everywhere people asked about computer knowledge and we didn’t know computers. But due to WE Foundation’s Free Computer classes our knowledge in this field is better. Earlier I was scared to handle the computer mouse but nowadays I feel that I am one of the best students of this class in case of computer handling skills and knowledge compare to my previous life. The atmosphere of this class is very comfortable and encouraging to us. I hope that rest of girls student will definately take this an opportunity from WE Foundation and will make their life much better along with good careers.  My best wishes and Thanks to this supportive organization.”

Shahnaz adds, “When I was in IX th std. there were computers in our school and our Madam was used to tell us some information about it. Though I joined a 2 month computer class, I forgot everything after I left the class, so I was very nervous. But now during my XIIth std. my sister encouraged and informed me WE Foundation and their various activities for girls along with computer classes. This was again a new beginning for me compared to my previous class where my most of time was went in painting and drawing only on computer.  The atmosphere of this class is very comfortable and encouraging to us, each one of us gets separate computer to learn. My best wishes and Thanks to Meera Madam and WE Foundation who gave us me this opportunity to learn the MS Office and data entry on free of cost. Thank you once again and I would like to work for WE Foundation in future if they feel me as capable.”
